Hindu Religion, My Religion My Soul

This time we have a light discussion, about the Hinduism that we love together. in this era of development there are many things that we need to maintain, we need to improve and we need to share, so that our knowledge is more complete about the religion that we profess. knowing that a culture is the backbone of the implementation of a religion we need to know so that we can distinguish between religion and culture. thank you to translate.google.com for helping to translate Indonesian text into English, so admin can post in English

Why do we put footwear, shoes, flip flops when entering the temple shrine ?
Removing footwear when entering a temple shrine is to remind us symbolically that we are moving from a worldly place to a sacred place. Moving our minds from the wild to the centered. In the future we hope to save and turn off the cellphone.

Why do we use offerings with various forms of symbols at the temple shrine?
All the symbols have their own meaning, regarding the form and meaning of the symbol we learn more. But we use the core of the offerings and symbols and place them in many places or temples, the main lesson is that we get the ability to see that God is everywhere. So that when we enter the sacred area, we have been able to concentrate and focus our thoughts on God.

How do we prove that we have a subconscious mind ?

We can easily prove it. As we know that our thoughts are divided into two, rational mind (conscious mind) and irrational mind or often called (subconscious). We can communicate with someone's subconscious, our best friend or anyone. How to prove it? Try to say that sour or sour mango is good for salad. At that time our body reacts, precisely the subconscious responds by stimulating the brain to cause saliva from and we swallow hard.
On that basis, we are always expected to say good words, listen to the Dharma Discourse or listen to good things.

How to change the feeling of doubt into sincerity when giving charity?

Although we have read a lot of Bhagawad Gita Sloka, Sarasamuccaya etc. about Dana Punia and sincerity, we still have a sense of hesitation in implementing it. Doubtful about the use of the funds that we have accrued, will our funds be used correctly? Don't be misused. There may be various questions that make a sense of hesitation in giving punia.

To get rid of doubt, let us realize that Fund is a basic practice in the spiritual. If within us there is never an intention to do alms / funds, any kind of spiritual practice will never be perfect. Dana is like a root in a tree. Without roots, trees will never develop. Without having the intention of making funds, the spiritual tree that we build will never develop.

What is the level of charity?

We try to explore from another point of view, in the Sang Hyang Kamahayanikam 51 Book, stated ‘Dana tri widha laksanam, tiga prakaraning laksananing dana , lwirnya : dana, atidana, mahatidana this is the level of sincerity in charity.

1. Funds have a simple level (good), where we provide material that we have, gifts that never demand revenge. Give and then forget. These funds are material that we have, such as food, money, clothing etc.

2. Atidana funds quality is better, besides we provide material without retaliation, but also because the material we provide is the one we love the most. Giving something we love is far more difficult, letting go of attachments to something we love is much more difficult, so that obstacles in spiritual practice are far greater.

3. Mahatidana is the highest fund that can be implemented. The Sutasoma, Socrates, Mahatma Gandhi and others included those who were able to carry it out. A person who is able to contribute something that is in himself. Those who have been able to reach this stage have never been bound to material, ready to suffer for the benefit of others.
